Aris Sklavenitis is one of those lucky ones who loves everything about his profession, he feels torn about what variety it would be, he is a rock guy, he admires Jordan and when he was little boy, he wanted to be like him?? 1. What do you love and what do you “hate” in your profession?
Tasting new wines every day excites me, constantly learning new information and never stopping to evolve. The profession has nothing to hate..
2. Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Jordan, I don’t think I need to answer why…
3. Dirty (Street food) or high gastronomy?
Each one in its own time, but certainly the dirty is a more frequent pleasure.
4. If you were a variety, which would you be and why?
I have answered Riesling many times…this time I will say Pinot Noir because I tasted an awesome German Pinot a few hours before answering the questions. You can drink white, rosé, red and also sparkling wines. Now that I think about it and Chardonnay I would like, after all I want to be many varieties!
5. What scares you?
In my everyday life when I am relaxed it scares me that the other person surprises me, I enter another dimension and when he brings me back I am disturbed. In life, I think I’m scared of the big changes that you don’t know what will end up being for your future.
6. Jazz or the clarinet?
Rock!
7. What did you want to be (as a kid) when you were little?
Basketball player!
8. Which personality would you like to go clubbing with?
I’m not much of a clubber, but when I’m not drinking wine I like to go out for beers with friends.
9. Two-seater or SUV?
I like two-seaters, but I take so much stuff with me that even an SUV seems small…so I’m closer to an SUV!
10. Mom’s or dad’s?
Hmmm, probably mom’s…Greek mother!
11. Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible?
Definitely invisible…
12. Sun or rain;
Sun for sure!
13. Sweet or (savory)salty?
A difficult question….first salty and then sweet!
14. Favorite cartoon?
Donald Duck!
15. What is your favorite time of day?
Early in the morning or late at night when it’s quiet.

When you listen you learn, when you speak others learn.
18. Who is your celebrity crush?
I don’t have a celebrity crush and now that I think about it I’m glad about it…
19. Your favorite song?
It’s a lot, these days I’m listening The Regulator by Clutch.
20. When others talk about you, what would you like them to say?
Being told that “Aris is a good boy” is something I would like, but I try (I haven’t succeeded yet) not to worry about it and only care about the people I have close to me.
21. What do you think is the meaning of life?
Come on…I think maybe it’s to live in every moment and have fun.
